Color Skee Ball for Toddlers and Preschoolers
Whew! Two days after we began our Toddler Time Challenge, Little Sister came down with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. Little Brother ended up getting sick and we had to deal with a bunch of other stuff…all in all it has been a very stressful two weeks around here! But today we are jumping back into our Toddler Time Challenge with Color Skee Ball for Toddlers and Preschoolers.
The idea for this activity originally came from my friend Sarah at Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls. We modified it slightly to add a little sorting and color recognition as well. Setting it up literally took about 5 minutes. I just cut up a few of my Amazon boxes and used packing tape to attach them to the baskets. I wrote the color words at the bottom of each ramp, just to give some exposure to those color words as well.
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 colors of plastic baskets
Empty cardboard boxes
Packing Tape
Markers
1. Use packing tape to attach the cardboard onto the colored baskets. Secure the flaps to where they are angled to guide the balls into the basket.
2. Let your little one get busy trying to get each colored ball into the appropriate basket!
Underhanded tossing was really tricky for Little Sister…this is something we will try again because it was definitely a challenge for her!
