Magnetic Uppercase and Lowercase Matching
Have you made our Build-a-Word Magnetic Tray yet? If so, you can help your preschooler/early-elementary student match uppercase and lowercase letters! Not only is this great for learning letters, it is also excellent fine motor practice.
The idea for this tray originally came from a curriculum I used while teaching first grade. They had a similar “Segment and Write” tray but it did not have the extra component of matching capital and lowercase letters.
Place all of the lowercase letters in a pile to the side of the tray.
Let your child get busy matching the lowercase to their capital (or as Little Brother likes to say–the baby letters to their Mama letters). :)
Ta-Da! All letters matched!
Stay tuned for yet another way to utilize our Build-a-Word Magnetic Tray!
LOVE it! I made mine the first day you posted about it on FB! Can’t wait to use it more and more! Thanks!
This is such a useful idea! And it can be super cheap! Thank you!
