Day 5 of Creation: Birds & Fish
“And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.” -Genesis 1: 20-23
On the fifth day of Creation, we learn that God creates the fish of the sea and birds of the air. For this day, we made homemade bird feeders.
Here’s what you’ll need to make the bird feeders: pinecones (we went walking at the park and found several), yarn, peanut butter, and birdseed.

| 1. Gather your pinecones and other materials. |
 |
| 2. Tie a piece of yarn tightly around the pinecone and then tie a loop at the top. |
 |
| 3. Slap a glob of peanut butter into a bowl. |
 |
| 4. Let your child use a popsicle stick to spread the peanut butter all over the pinecone (I had to help with this part). |
 |
| 5. Put the peanut-butter pinecone into the bowl of birdseed and pour seed over the top. |
 |
| All ready to hang! |

| 6. Take the bird feeders outside and hang them close to a window. Enjoy watching the birds eat from them! |

I have recently found your site & I love your ideas! Thanks for all of your work.
I wanted to know what type of camera you have. I need a new one & now that taxes have come back, I can finally get a nice one! :) My old point & shoot camers never got pics like yours above. I love #4 of your son, it looks easy but artistic & I know a camera can do a lot of that.
