Exploring Easter: Friday

For today’s family activity, place a white carnation in a vase. Add some red food coloring to the water in the vase. Read 1 Peter 1:18-19 and talk about what it meant that Jesus was a “lamb without blemish or defect.”

“For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless lamb of God.” -1 Peter 1: 18-19 (NLT)

Over the next couple days, your carnation should begin turning pink/red from the food coloring in the water. Talk to your child about how Jesus took on our sins when he died on the cross.
