Simple Brown Paper Valentines (Filled with Candy)
A few simple materials create these sewn brown paper Valentines are simplistic and charming. The sewn edges with treats inside make a unique gift for the special Valentines in your life. :)
Here’s what you’ll need: Â a brown paper sack (or brown craft paper), a sewing machine (or a needle and thread), and M&M’s (or another small treat).
1. Cut two rectangles out of the brown paper sack (or craft paper) that are about the same size and gently fold in half.
2. Cut a heart shape.
3. Place the two identical hearts on top of each other.
4. Sew around the perimeter, leaving a 1/4 inch seam on the outside.
5. Leave a small section open and carefully slip your candy inside while the needle is still holding the heart in place.
All done!
Add a small gift tag if you would like with some pretty ribbon (or baker’s twine).
These are so adorable! I might try to do this for Ava’s class at school… thanks :)
Love this idea! x
So sweet! I really need to get a sewing machine. ;)
Great idea! Plan to use the 4-H Clover Buds meeting next week. So easy, simple and cheap. I will probably use freezer paper, as that is what I have on hand.
These are so cute. I might try these with waxed paper so the recipient can get a peek at what is inside.
I like that idea!
That is so cute, I’m doing this w/ my teen who thinks she’s too old for Valentines.
Great idea but use a used neddle and through it out after as it will be to dull for sewing material and may even damage some material
I mean throw the needle out after. Don’t know where my brain is today
