Snack Idea: Individual Portions of Mixed Fruit
Looking for a healthy snack to easily dole out to a group of kids (or adults)? Here’s an idea…
:: Cut up some fresh fruit. Our favorites are strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and pineapple.
:: Put foil cupcake liners into your muffin tin (I left the paper liner in there as well).
:: Fill with your fruit and distribute!
This would be perfect for a child’s birthday party or for snacks at school! The fruit stays in the cup and the kids can eat it with their hands, so you wouldn’t have to worry about having plates or utensils!
What’s your favorite snack idea for children???
For my son’s birthday I served snacks in silicone baking cups- substantial and reusable! I love the idea of prepping and serving them in the muffin tin
Another preschool mom did a similar truit snack but put each one in a short paper cup which is a little less likely to spill than the cupcake liners.
Anything in cupcake paper is fun to eat! My grandsons love dried fruit which would work well, also.
Using the cupcake liners is such a great idea! It makes passing snacks out so much faster!
What a fun and great idea! Wonderful for a birthday party! I pinned your photo – I hope that is ok, but if not, let me know and I will take it down.
They actually love this! Besides, it looks great arranged in the muffin cups! Not that hard to make them eat fruit after all! Got hungry just looking at this, I have a fruit salad wallpaper on my desk, too.
This looks awesome, great idea!
i was looking for some ideas to use at our next ladie’s once a month meeting. i am serving the main refreshments and needed a “healthy” food idea. I will use the fruit in muffin tin idea. thanks!
