Painting with Water on Cardboard

Today’s Painting with Water on Cardboard activity is SUPER simple and relatively mess-free (two things I love in an activity). It is inspired by the Painting at the Pool activity we frequently do in the summertime…just with an indoor twist!
Here’s what you’ll need: a large piece of cardboard, a paintbrush, and a bowl of water.
I also put down our white shower curtain liner, just to keep water from going all over my floor. But that wasn’t even entirely necessarily as water is easily cleaned up.
1. Lay out your piece of cardboard, fill up a bowl with water, and give your child a paintbrush!
2. Let him/her get busy painting as much or as little as he/she wants.
The great thing about this activity is that you child can see evidence of painting (because the water can be seen on the cardboard), but you don’t have to worry about getting paint everywhere if you are in a hurry or just not in the mood to clean up a mess. :)
I’ll be honest…It looked so fun I had to try it for myself.
