Is there a certain order to teach the alphabet in? What do you prefer? Thanks!
I think the best letters to start with are the letters in your child’s name. Obviously, start with the first letter of his/her name. M is also a popular starting point (most kids can recognize an M for McDonald’s). :)
Thanks!
Absolutely love these ideas. My pre-K-ish boy is not going to be an easy one to teach with anything resembling traditional methods. These are fabulous ideas. Thank you so much.

Hi ma’am. I’m a first time mum who is trying to homeschool.
Where exactly do I start from please my son is 3+. We have leart ABC letters recognition is been pretty difficult but have come across articles that says teaching sounds is better than letters. What’s your advise on this? Also when do I introduce him to lower case letter? Should I teach numbers along letters?
All these I don’t know how to go about. Thanks ma’am
First of all, don’t stress! Your child will learn the alphabet when he/she is cognitively ready. All we can do as parents (and teachers) is facilitate opportunities to expose them to letters and sounds. There is no “right” formula. I would suggest starting with a letter that your child is interested in. For a lot of kids, this is the first letter of their name. For others, it might be “M” for McDonald’s (or other letters they see in their environment) as they can easily recognize it when out and about. Again, immerse your child in play-based activities and the learning will follow!
